Celebrating women

It was Mother's Day last Sunday here in New Zealand. I'm not sure if it's celebrated everywhere in the world. It might even be celebrated at another time in other countries. Anyway it got me thinking about how much our mums do on top of taking care of their children.

We are so used to seeing them in dangerous jobs that we don't really think about it. They work long hours, sometimes up to the due date

so that they can feed and clothe their kids. (Don't worry dads, Father's day is in September, I won't forget) And what about relaxation?

I sometimes wonder where all their energy comes from. Anyway I just wanted to say thanks to the mums out there. We do appreciate all that you do for us. :0) As a celebration of all that is woman I've started a collection called 'A celebration of women' I hope you find it useful. ( This is my first blog so I hope everything is readable when I've finished:0) lol. )
