Creating of Ferrari 458 restyled
3d modeling and rendering of beautiful Ferrari 458 Italia.I'v found a lot's of reference images,but still couldn't catch every detail.Also my creative side is always stronger then need for accuracy.When I'v got modeling as I want it,then I'v focused on renderings.Almost 2 days I'v been trying to get beautiful renderings like photographs do with real cars.I'v been searching a lot on the internet,about lighting cars studio setup.I tried to simulate it in my 3d software blender3d 2.49b and realistic rendering plugin Yafaray 0.1.1.For the studio I made curved plane mesh.As a light sources I was used plane meshes from the top,front and side view.Background is completely black,but emits some power.Now I have to find the right balance of light sources power,so I kept experimenting with my planes until I'v found the right image.Final image was little dark,but realism,reflections and shadows were good,I accepted it as final image.Must admit also I was tired of rendering the same object for 2 days.For the rendering of this image it took me from 4-6 hours,I don't remember exactly because I'v been sleeping during that process.For the final touches I'v been using gimp.Levels,some layer effects,improving my color balance were used for my final image.There are no beautiful works without practice,patience,a lot's of trial and errors.Send me your feedback's and critics,or suggestions how to improve my rendering skills.
