Decision process

Making decisions is not always easy...

I stopped, looked, listened and came to the conclusion it would definitely be a good thing to become DT exclusive.

So here we go, I crossed the line!

I guess that's a few YES's :P but for now I prefer to stay at all of them, who knows one day here or another agency..! Agree with all points, but actually DT isn't my best seller! cheers!

@Luissantos Sure, very happy to share!
1) listening to this community you get a good feeling, people are generally happy, there's a lot of positive communication; on the other site that I used to have an account with, all what people did on the forums was complaining about the site, unhappy photographers mostly, quite depressing really
2) being able to interact, discuss directly with people (contributors, designers and administrators), putting a face on people, get to know their style - personal feeling vs impersonal
3) getting clear information regarding your rejections and being able to modify your pictures based on those comments - means that you're learning, progressing, and that's fun. Being constantly rejected and not being able to understand why is frustrating - that's what gets most people to give up I think
4) having the feeling to work as a team with DT, ie being also compensated for our work and commitment with good commissions; I also like the structure of levels for each picture, which gives a chance to smaller contributors to sell more pictures
5) very good website, excellent search engine, with lots of great features such as the refined searches and the dynamic search; again that gives more visibility to the photos (there are so many of them, I can't see a future for companies with a basic website)
6) each company has a different strategy and therefore sales different types of pictures, but in the end I don't have the time to spread all my efforts, it's better to focus on the website that will allow me to reach the pay out faster and makes me feel like I'm achieving something - even though it is of course difficult.

For me it works, I'm sure it's different for all of us though! For those who've got a huge portfolio and staff working for them on the uploads, it's probably not a good idea to only work with one site. At the end of the day, each person needs to look at their own resources and needs and make their decision based on that analysis.
