Dreaming Big

The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way. ~ Robert Kiyosaki

I woke to find this in my email.....

I think Robert Kiyosaki must have been a stock photographer!

Actually Robert Kiyosaki wrote the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series of books, among other things.

I liked this quote because we all have a desire, we dream big and create so others can dream big...

.....and sometimes we wake up to find our latest batch of dreams thrown out, save for maybe ONE :)

I'm sure for some, that is the end. But for the diehard group with the strength to pursue our big dreams.....we pick up the camera and a granola bar and head back out.

I am....taking him for the car ride to get Ritas.....he is sooo spoiled. Have a great night:)

Oh nooooo...go play with your dog! I love my dogs!

It is so true....I have only been on this site for about a week and i HAVE TO TELL MYSELF "WALK AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER" I keep checking to see if my last batch was rejected....It gets addicting. My dog just gave me the saddest look...better go spend some time with him:)

LOL>.After I posted this I went in and found all but ONE of my latest batch had been rejected. I had high hopes for that bunch and was seriously bummed. By evening I was practicing the isolation techniques described by this blog

Isolated Objects With A Clipping Path

Live and learn!

So true... use disappointment as motivation to get out there and shoot. And then, to have the courage to submit photos too! That is actually the hard part for me. My potential portfolio is HUGE - if only I'd process them and submit.

This reminds me of the words to one of my favorite songs by Jackson Browne :
Let your disappointments pass,
let the laughter fill your glass,
let your illusions last until they shatter.
For whatever you might hope to find,
among the thoughts that crowd your mind,
there won't be many that ever really matter

We should all take life a little less seriously sometimes.

It is a great quote! Thanks for sharing Ginger! Have a nice day too!
