Dreamstime Politics..

Hello,

I'm writing here my first post on dreamstime, and this post will'not be happy..

I've seen here on dreamstime a lot of CENSURE.. Yes, censure, because if you write something tha SOMEONE that we don't know but we can imagine don't like, your post will be DELETED..

Yes, it's only a supposition, because i can't know if some of the posts mysteriously disappeared were delete by the autor or by someone else, but i think this things are a lot strange, a lot strange..

Some days ago i've bookmarked a post where a contributor had write about some 3D works, and nothing versus dreamstime, and when i come to read it some days after, the post there was no more... what a mystery!

Probably no one will read this one, someone will delete it fast, but i want to express my opinion, because sadly i live in Italy, and here we've got a lot of CENSURE, and I don't want see censure anywhere, no more!

..I'm sorry for my english, I hope you'll understand..

Have a nice Sunday.

Elia

A form of censorship is needed in business as you can't allow others to freely advertise competition here on DT. Or people putting DT down as this could also be done by competitors and info may not be true. I'm sorry you have such a bleak view on this but maybe with a little more thought you may see why it makes sense :-)
Hope you had a great weekend :-)

We do not delete blog articles or forum posts unless they break our agency's policies and rules. We certainly do not delete useful articles and users have the delete or edit option available for some period of time (24 hours minimum). If you cannot find a blog article anymore, I suggest you use the Search option and try some keywords related to the article. Also, as other members have suggested, you can try on the profile page of the author. You can also contact support for assistance.

I'd be pretty surprised if you can find many businesses (with customers) that allow more freedom than Dreamstime on a public message board and blog! As Gerrymphotos points out, we are here to attract buyers, not turn them off... You can always contact the admins directly - in my experience message boards are just not a good way to resolve issues.

I don't know about your particular post, but all I can say is this is a private business website. Not a forum for free speech. If they want to delete something, so be it. Understand, the purpose of the dreamstime site us not a free speech forum. There are plenty of those on the web. That said, hope you had a great weekend.

Hello: I have not encountered such a situation, then I will pay more attention to blog posts.

Maybe it moved? Maybe that's why the bookmark no longer fits. If you remember the author you can bring up his profile and the blog should be there with the right pointer.

It seems likely to think that the author removes it, as you say that post was not posing any problem to DT. So, why should we think that DT removed it? I mean, it makes sense to think on the more obvious possibility. But don´t worry I am going to check your post often ;-)

I agree with Heywoody. I believe if a post was deleted, it was most likely deleted from the author - NOT from someone at DT. There is no reason DT would delete a post from anyone unless it was a blatant post that broke DT policies.

So, as you can see, Elia...we are able to read your post, and no one at DT has deleted it.

You too have a nice Sunday.

Heywoody

There was a recent useful blog that I couldn't find later but I seriously doubt admins are going around deleting them - more likely removed by the author.

Hi there,

Yep, I know what you mean. I have also bookmarked once a blog in here, it was very interesting. Next day vanished. I was very upset, but what can I do? Next time, I will make a print screen, to be sure that I still have the info I need. Maybe you should do the same. Good luck.
