Photography is one of the most expensive hobby, however if you can turn hobby to profession, then all your investment will be rewarded. What do you think?

If you want to profile yourself with this kind of "art" work why bother to invest in expensive photography equipment? Buy the ingredients for a couple of dollars and photoshop will do the rest..., no?
I don´t think, it is the most expensive hobby. If you´re an amateur pilot, that is more expensive and if you do your hobby exzessive, every hobby can be expensive. My camera equipment is nearly about 12.000 € (calculated without computer equipment). Do you think, i can make this money with microstock? Never, this is my hobby and i do it around 30 years. You also can do great Shots with a digi-cam. You make the photos, not the camera and if can handle and buy a Pro-DSLR, it´s easier, for sure, but only you can decide, how much money you spend on it. I agree with Gmargittai, if you finance your hobby with money, it´s your occupation, not anymore your hobby.
If you expect to make serious money then it will turn to work. No more hobby. You will loose your hobby. But for me no danger it will happen soon :)
Great Photoshop work, love these images. For me, it just keeps me busy.
Easier said than done, but that's the way to finance all the expensive glass that you need to quality photography.
I think you are right! It was my husband's hobby.... recently we put a major addition onto our home for a studio full of equipment! Talk about $$$$!!! :) But it's worth it! Doing work we love, me being able to be "home" to work around my son's school and activity schedule... I like your images!
