Expert tips on creating composite designs

Welcome to our new monthly blog contest:Expert tips on creating composite designs. We'd be happy to see more designers joining in.

Wind turbines on spring field. Alternative, clean energy

You have the chance to win $300 (first place), $200 (second place) and $100 (third place).

Some subjects need more than just stock photos to be illustrated. Mixed media compositions are a great way for designers to create unique concepts on any subject by using stock photos or illustrations. So, share your tips and techniques for isolating subjects and elements, matching color temperature and white balance, getting the right perspective and lighting to create compelling mixed media designs and concepts that will blow buyers' minds.

Before you start writing, please check our guidelines here to make sure your piece is eligible for the contest. Make sure you also add compositedesigncontest to your articles' tags so we can spot them easily.

As mentioned before, the voters need to have a minimal experience on Dreamstime: as photographers, buyers or blog writers. One click on the Useful tool = one vote.

Our contest starts now. You have a month to join in, so you're welcome to enter your submissions until December the 8th.

Start writing. Good luck!

Snsdesigns5, after the deadline, we leave the voting stage open for a few days so that the articles submitted later have the chance to be voted too. We're looking forward to your entry. Thank you!

So the more time I take to craft a well-written, clearly documented blog, the less days it has to attract votes, have I got this right?

Eliyah3, thank you for your recommendation, we'll take it into consideration for our next topics.

I think it would better to ask designers for specific advice on a specific design/issue rather than asking them to write a general blog. This should be easier for the contributors = more successful for this campaign. It might need more managing and editing but I think it's worth it.

Wow, thanks
