First Blog!!! EVER!

Hi everyone

This is my first blog ever so not really to sure on what i should be putting but please take a look at my portfolio and let me know what you think?

Any advice and critique would be very handy on improving my Stock photography techniques and ideas. I usually shoot studio pet portraits so its quite unnatural trying to think STOCK and what would sell!

Thanks everyone for your comments, a few good ideas aswell that i will try out. I have been a member for several months now to dreamstime and didnt even know about the blogging part untill the other day. Think it will come in quite handy, and good to have interaction and advice from fellow photographers

Your PF is looking good, and you seem to be right on the money (pardon the pun) with content, just keep them coming and I am sure you will do well.

Nice port Chris! Accessories for animals & food stuff would be great to make your port a complete animal reference... Good luck! Cheers ;)

When i read you do studio pet portraits, i thought a few photos of cats and dogs something i would love to do. But have many species of animals, ducks, snakes, SKUNKS +++. How do you come about all the various animals? BTW: regarding making them more stock oriented: Instead of just portaits, put them in a situation, have them "say something" with the photo. I think i saw some kids in there so have the child interact with the animal, maybe have the animal kissing the child? basically showing love, or have the animal eating, showing hunger? or have a dog holding a news paper in its mouth. YA gota be creative and make the pic sell something. lovely port btw.

Well you are doing much better than I am at selling your work so that's evidence that you are getting it right. David.
