How did you do with DT changes?

A month ago DT changed the levels of the prices per image, here it is the link where you can see these changes: Levels Update

Now it is easier for our images to reach levels, for example before for a level 4 an image needed 25 sales, now an image only needs 10 sales. That means that we can earn more money per sale, but at the same time makes buyers look for images with less sales. So that's why I'm asking you how did you this first month with the changes?.

In my case I had a drop in the number of sales of 75% sales (last 2 months I had sales of 84 images per month, now I only had 62 sales in May) but in the other hand my RPD (revenue per download) increased 23%, so I had about the same income.

Is there any statement from DT about the effect of the new price policy?

I knew something was wrong............. on the whole looks to have had a negative impact for me [ so far ] ........... drop in sales volumes. In my opinion the low price of images sold to subscribers undermines our reasonable income expectation.

no drop in sales .. double the income .. pretty nifty change in my opinion. :)

May was my best month so far for sales and revenue. June, on the other hand, is starting out very slow in both categories.

Sales down for me. My portfolio is small so month on month comparisons are tricky, but I stll feel I have seen a significant reduction in sales, and with the number of those few sales that have been subscription sales - which are still the same rate - my income is very much down.

The same for me.... may has registered few sales.

Unfortunately, in the month of May, I scored only one sale

My sales have dropped down quite much. April was the worst month in the last year, and May was better, but still worse than other months. I'll upload more and see what happens :) Until now, the new system doesn't really work in my favour :(

In the last 12 months, May was the lowest image sales, highest RPD and highest total revenue for me.

Month of May, few sales

Ewamewa2

no sale since 2 weeks, though the total revenue for May better than for the previous month. I also noticed a fast increase of free-images sales:(

Revenue down about 10%... Guess I need to 'diversify' my portfolio more :)

Down! Some of my images are very hard to find with the new system.

Sales are up slightly, in line with the growth of my portfolio but the RPD is up by 50% so a good month all round.

Alvera

Down. But my uploaded files are also down. So I don't know what to say.

I buy images every month and from a buyers point of view I realy don't care about the new price. I buy images I need and my customers pay for them anyway. I think most of the buyers are advertising agencys like me and who cares about one $ more in a small amount?!? Its not like prices for stock are big anyway. So paying 10 credits one day and 14 the next is not a big deal I would think? And my earnings were pretty good last month but I also think it is to soon to tell.

I also had a very good month in terms of revenue and RPD - BME in fact, but sales by number have been decreasing steadily over the last few months. I agree with Gmargittai's analysis that it's still early days to see the trend.

For me it works very well, second best mont in sales and revenue. Great RPD. But I must say I uploaded quite many new pictures in last two months, it might be the result.

Very bad month this May, for me. Less sales and lowest revenue per picture.

WME in May,my sales and revenue had dropped down 30% in May.

I hope that my sales will go up in June.

In my opinion it is too early to tell what the impact will be. Essentially DT increased the price by approx 30-50% for the buyers. They may absorb this like nothing happened or they may leave. We don't see yet what they are doing. I am sure many buyers had credits that they need to spend. Even if they want to leave they will not get a refund. So they still buy until all credits are spent. The big question is if anybody is buying new credits since the price increase. Time will tell.

For me May was a very good month regarding earnings. More average regarding sales.
