Great sense of humor. Wish you the best.

So sad to hear about those damages. Hope you all gonna have peaceful times back soon.

Having recently experienced Gustav, followed by a bit of Ike, I can relate totally to all of these! I've gone through lots of candles lately, sitting at home with no job to go to because of lack of power and lack of part of a wall.

Hey Rick, how's going? Did Ike passed you from a long distance?

As a native houstonian, I know the seriousness of hurricanes. Texans are a different breed. My granddad always used to say "Some times you just have to call an ugly baby, "an ugly baby".
All of my kinfolks back there have a "bring it on" attitude. My uncle when asked what he thought about this storm is quoted as saying "I ain't skeered". "As long as I got two cases of Bud and a roll of Copenhagen I'll be fine".
Hoohah Texas!

Indian giver... OK you can keep em. Stay safe and with all those beans you may create a little wind of your own!!! Heheheheh.

Great comparison!!! Living in Florida now, I can truly appreciate your blog, not to mention, I got a real chuckle, especially from #10. Thanks.

good blog.. my mother in law left Houston yesterday. I'm glad she is getting out in plenty of time.

Though I shouldn't be laughing, this is hilarious. Great job!

I'll take the beans....

At first, I was offended by your title.... so I opened it to see what else you had to say.... Then I laughed and laughed! What a great sense of humor you have - and such a wonderful way of eliciting emotions from your readers! I was upset, then full of smiles - and in a short post, at that! Thank you - you've made my evening!!
