I have more!!

Hi all. I have had a few more bird photos approved which I would like to share with you. I am also going off to the West Coast of South Africa for our long weekend to do more photography of the migratory waders. They are now in full breeding plumage so hope to share some stunners with you in a few days.

Jdanne.....thank you for your comments. I must tell you that there is no secret here. I get out at first light to shoot in the early morning and also the late afternoon light. Yes the most important thing is the glass. I have found that the quality of my photos has really increased dramatically since going to the canon 500mm. Also critical is to have a steady platform for you camera. I use a manfrotto tripod with a wimberley II head and for the car just a bean bag. Where I can I use a remote shutter release to ensure further stability. Other than that is studying many photographs of other great photographers and seeing whta worked for them O yes and the more you shoot a specific type of subject the more you learn about the behaviours to allow you to anticipate a possible shot. Hope this helps.
