Images-to be or not to be

I have just hit my 100th image and sold my first exclusive image with a notable increase in sale price. Accepted and rejected images are still a hit a miss affair. Does anybody have an opinion on whether uploading raw images increases the chance of a sale?

regarding your comment about "hit and miss", I am getting much better at critiquing my own images before I submit. Playing waaaaaay too many games of Stock Rank on DT has been very helpful. That may seem silly, but the game makes you really focus.

I doubt that uploading RAW increases the chances of a sale, but if someone decides to buy the image and downloads it as a RAW file, then you get more credits for it. Which is why I upload my pictures in RAW whenever possible. So far I have not sold one RAW file, unfortunately, but I heard from other members that it does happen occasionally.
There are many threads about this in the Message Board section, some contributors feel that giving away the RAW file is not good as it's like giving away the negatives, some think it's good...

Why not? A buyer may even download both the JPG and RAW version of the same image!

can't imagine that.... but if raw is downloaded it will increase your earnings more than jpg... but only if downloaded via a credit, not via subscription...
