In 10 Days .......

I will be traveling to .... Paris, France. Ooo, la la .... As a matter of fact, this will be my first ever visit to Europe. This adventure is so very exciting because I will be able to expand my photographic pallate and fill my collection with images from the land of Love. In hopes of capturing memorable images, my lens cap will always be off and my finger on the trigger. Of coarse, I will be armed with the latest and greatest digital hardware, but as everyone knows, there is never any guarantees in life. But that being said, there should be no excuse but to capture the most perfect of pefect images. Yes it is true, I will be a tourist through and through, but in fact, loving every second of this experience. Crepes, croissants, and le' creme... here I come.

What will be in my camera bag:

Canon:

5dMK2 Body & 7d Body

16 -35mm L, 70 -200mm L, 24-70mm L, 17mm TS-E L

4 64gig CF

Gitzo Tripod

550ex flash

Batteries

Lens wipes

Charger

Thinktank "International" rollaway bag for Transport in airports.

Shootsac bag for Daily excursions.

I will be keeping an eye out for other DT members during my stay .......

@Joe,@Astor, Thank you for the great suggestions! I knew that the members of DT would always have something nice to say about the authors of these blogs.

All the best on your trip to Paris.
Apart from the Eiffel tower there are many small places around Paris to be seen and enjoyed (and clicked)
The small by lanes, the eating joints are just marvelous.
And don't forget to enjoy the late night show at Moulin Rouge

My last visit to Paris was my honeymoon nearly 28 years ago,I learned to use my brand new Olympus OM10 as we toured the sights. My favorites were the Sacre Coeur, the Opera house and a cruise along the Seine.
My last holiday flight, I took my D300, D60, 35mm, 18-55 and 70-300, flash, tripod, assorted filters and cleaning gear, along with my ipod, paperback, travel documents etc etc. crammed into my billingham bag with my fingers crossed I didn't get asked to weigh my carry on luggage!
I hope you have a great trip, look forward to seeing your images.

@FC ,@ BC Thanks for the nice comments, @BC I've traveled to Japan with this collection as carry on. I use the Think Tank "international rollaway" for transport, but then use a lightweight "shootsac" for daily excursions.

You have a similar load out to myself but I'm yet to fly with my gear, trip booked in Feb to NYC for a few days then off to the Caribbean for a couple of weeks. I'm hoping to carry this lot on board as hand luggage but not sure if it's too heavy, have you had any issues?

Have a fab trip and I'll keep a look out for your shots in a few weeks :-)
