Thanks for the link. The person who made the site doesn't apply his own rules since it's a bit nineties-ish ;-)The content is super though, and it coincides with the usability reports you can get from -Photo*Shelter- as to design and usability of photo sites. They use the eye-tracking machine too.
That's a very interesting article, particlularly in light of all of the statistics given on comparisons between images and accompanying text. I don't know the author, but it's certainly food for thought. If nothing else, the adage that Simple Sells can be gleaned from this article. And what a lovely girl! :)
Thanks for the link... this is an interesting article on photos as web content, and therefore relevant to stock photos.This is not necessarily the place for a 'debate' on the author, Jakob Nielsen, but his point-of-view is very a much about usability in the extreme to the detriment of user experience - imagery/photos have their place, as the adage says (cliche alert!)... "a picture is worth a thousand words"
