Just like that
So today was a really hectic day. We have a typhoon barreling toward us and we were supposed to be packing up our house to move back to the US from Japan. So I woke up this morning and gave the moving company a call thinking that they would postpone our packing due to the impending storm but they were on the way and would be at the house in 40 minutes. So I had to wake the house and get everyone moving. Today was just supposed to be what we call an express shipment. These are items that are needed so soon as possible and are shipped by air. Tomorrow was supposed to be the remaining bulk of the stuff but because of the storm and the backlog it would cause they needed to try and do the whole house today. My son was sleeping over at a friends house and had borrowed my camera to make a stop motion movie with his friend so I was unable to take any pictures of the movers packing up my house. This was not going to be a good day.
Then I decided to give a quick glance at my DT account before the movers arrived and just like that my day was made. I got a nice fat credit TIFF sale.
As I write this I am sitting on the floor in my hotel room typing on my old laptop listening to the wind blowing outside and hoping that we do not lose power during the storm like we normally do. Last time we were without power for almost 2 days. The movers did not get finished with the house. They have another 2 hours of work to do but the wind and rain got too strong and they had to stop.
Despite all of the hardships I keep thinking back to that nice TIFF sale and what I great day this has been.
