Keep in the loop

Uploading images and then waiting in line for the review for seven or eight days can be frustrating. Something you'll want to keep from doing because it can limit the amount of time you have to get sesonal shots done is waiting to upload new images until the old ones get reviewed.

Get a routine set up and stick to it. The editors are doing there job so that we can do ours. So why sit around and wait for a review when you could be maximizing your time behind the camera getting the next batch ready.

Here's my routine I like to do:

Monday- Submit and finalize new batch of images to the site.

Tuesday through Friday- Get at least five commercially viable shots each day. So I'll have a minimum of 15 pictures at the end of the week.

Saturday and Sunday- Edit and keyword the final selection of pictures.

Then like shampoo "rinse and repeat". By the time the seven days are over the previous weeks batch is reviewed and the editors are ready for a new batch to come across their desk.

Hope this helps. Happy shooting.

Calyx22: Thanks but let me fool you. The reason I come up with this routine is because I was just as unorganized as anyone else. I simply realized that if I am a business owner then I better act like one. It wasn't till recently I came up with this routine and organized my files.

It really helps though and I wish you good luck. It takes a little getting use to but keep at it. You will see results

Wow, you are organized and you have a plan.... I'm impressed! I'm very scattered and never have a plan. However, you have the more successful way of doing business because you have developed a routine. Thank you for sharing this because you are inspiring me to do the same. Best wishes for you and happy shooting to you! Now, off to organize! :)

Thanks everyone. It appears that there was a hardware upgrade gong on the past two days and DT was having slow down issues but the submission process is running again like normal.

Keep the submissions going they'll get reviewed, just don't sit around not shooting while you wait. Doing that will only waste time. We are business individuals and wasted time is wasted opportunities and income potential.

Great advice, there is nothing we can do about pending time so we should all use the time to shoot more, then we have a constant stream of images

Idea is good. Is anyone implementing it in reality?

My images just showed up in unfinished files :)...it seem we need to be patient until pending time reduces in a few days.

I have the same problem. Normally it only took 30 minutes max but now I am waiting since yesterday morning to get them processed and getting them approved is taking many days now up to a week.

useful advices...btw. I have uploaded two images yesterday, and they are still stuck in history with "Image not processed yet" and not appearing in unfinished files. Is it possible that images can stay in "image not processed yet" state for so long(more then 24h)? I know that there is a little slow down lately because of 64.000 pending images waiting to be reviewed, but I never expirienced that I need to wait so long for my images to appear in unfinished section. Should I contact admins or wait a little while?
