On My Way! - Dreamstime

A few months ago I purchased my first "real" camera. I have always loved photographing everything but never thought about doing it for any profit. While online trying to teach myself about photography, I stumbled on the DT website. At first, my thoughts were "stock-what?" I hadn't ever considered where photographs used for everything came from.

I decided, after a few weeks of thinking it over and learning/shooting as much as I had free time for, that maybe I would try submitting something just to see what would happen. I tried a couple first and was rejected, but the feedback was invaluable to a totally new person like me. On my second or third submission I had one accepted. The feeling was so great that someone else thought my photo was good enough.

In the past few months, through lots more trial and error and immense learning, I now have 44 photographs that have been accepted. My accepted ratio continues to go up and I am trying new things all the time to get more experienced with my camera. My goal by the end of the year is 50! Not sure if I will get there with the holidays coming or not, but I am close!

I am so very excited to keep submitting and hopefully get more and more accepted to DT and,of course, downloaded. A few of my favorites from my portfolio:

Congrats! I too am new to Dreamstime and just uploaded my first image two days ago to test the waters on titles, keywords, etc. It was rejected for keywords. The pic was a old barbed wire fence with a snow capped mountain in the background. Any thoughts to everyone out there on how you would keyword a pic like that?
Thanks in advance.
