nature photos

Do you think that getting photos from natural environments of wildlife have more value then if the photo is shot in zoos or parks? almost all of my images are done in natural settings, it is more time consuming but I feel that the image is much more real what do you think?

I think it is more exciting to shoot in the wilderness. Of course it is not even easier to take good pictures in the zoo, because of fences or walls etc. But you can imagine, that if you have ever been in the wild - that feeling is incomparable!

Interesting thought - I would agree with Ellen that images shot in the wild are much more desirable. However, personally I don't really get the chance to shoot in the wild and I often visit wildlife parks or zoos as I love shooting animals (in the photographic sense!! :) ). I do feel guilty though as although some of the time the animals are there for breeding or for conservation; unfortunatley they are still in captivity and it's not something i necessarily agree with. I would much prefer to have the opportunity to shoot in the wild. You images are fantastic by the way!

If the quality of the images are equal, the images shot in the wild are much more desirable.
