They always told me 'you can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl' and that is true of me. I grew up in the back country of West Kentucky, nothing but fields and woods out our back door. I spent 7 years in the heart of St. Louis, MO before returning to my home place.
I learned from childhood to observe and love nature, as I got older and owned my first camera, which wasn't the best one, I took pictures of everything, I just wanted to share the world around me.
I know understand and appreciate all the hard work that goes into getting that one photo, I share all my work and it has become easier with media sites. All walks of life from around the globe can see into my world, a glimpse at what I see or have seen.
I hope more can share their world around them so we can get a glimpse of the world they see.
I am off to find my next subject to study and hopefully capture a brief moment, memory or a tale a tell to others.

Thank you all for your comments, lovely places to take a walk!
And thank you, that is one of our many 'wild' cats we have that hang around our place. I was finally able to get a picture of him on the hunt for breakfast right after a heavy snowfall.
And another thing I like to look for on my walks, are the animals hiding and hanging out. Love to find a good spot by a river, lake or pond. :)

You have very nice cat photos in your portfolio!
Sometimes the nicest things are just around the corner. We only need to see it.
