Part of a Series

I'm an author who can recognize her characters anywhere: in my neighborhood, my workplace, and even in the grocery store. Once I mentally connect a face to a character, the effect is indelible. I'll never forget them or think of them in any other way!

Enter Dreamstime. There are thousands of models to pick from, and many of them resemble the characters I see in my head. However, because I write several series, I want the model on the cover of each book in the series to match the others. After all, it would be strange if the main character was a redhead with a long face in one picture, and a blond with a snubbed nose in the next.

At first, I worried that I'd never be able to find the same model again for each new project, but then I stumbled across an easy fix: I can search the Dreamstime database by model. And it's so easy to do!

- First, find a picture of the model who interests you. For a recent project,Stage Fright, I found this model:

After adding the picture to my lightbox, I clicked on it to get to the picture's main page.

Then, scrolling down, I found a box called "Other Stock Images with this Model."

Tah-dah, I now had dozens of pictures to choose from. (Luckily, she's a very popular model!) This made choosing the next book cover A Christmas Peril - my Christmas urban fantasy - much easier. Here's the same model, but in a different pose:

I'm not sure how many books I'll be writing for my Bit Parts series; however, I am confident that there will be enough pictures of the lovely model to use for the covers. In fact, I may start my project by creating the book covers and then go on to write the books, lol.
