Patience Patience Patienc

Besides other things there is one major item to learn here: Patience.

Patience to get the first photos accepted.

Patience to get my first (and quite ugly) avatar photo changed (around 2 month!).

Patience for the first sale (still waiting for it).

Patience for the photos under review (currently there are 6 photos of mine under review for around two days now - at least they are not immediately rejected!)

Patience for learning from rejections ...

Don't forget all the patience the photographers from DT need to review our photos and

help us to become better ...

Nevertheless: It makes fun!!!

Jdanne, glad you got the shot. Here's when the D700's better noise control helped. I am using entry level Nikons and do not have good noise reduction software. So all my photos submitted were kept at ISO100-ISO200 with minimum processing. I do have a few shots at ISO400 but those were sent as it is without post processing. You still have a few more photos i liked. Look forward to more of your contributions online.

Unteroffizier: That fish photo was made under quite difficult conditions: Bad light, ISO value 1000(!), free hand, open aperture: Nevertheless it was one of my first photos accepted and got nearly the highest number of views.

Joezachs: The tortoise is around 40 years old. Up to this year my parents looked after her, but now
they are too old. So that tortoise got my turn. I'm wondering, whether my son will follow me (:-
