June 10th I went climbimg Pico volcano in the Azores, here goes the story of that day.
It all started at 2AM, we started climbing at that hour so that we could see the sunrise. At 1600m high my knee (had surgery) started to give away but the will to take photos at the top kept pushing me up.
After 4 hours climbing we reached the top and all the hard work started to pay off. the view is just gorgeous. It was a pety that the clouds were blocking the view down, now I feel obligated to climb it again to take pictures of a clear day on top of the mountain
It's hard work to take pictures, bu it feels great at the end ;)

I am 100000% agree with you that capturing the mountain sceneries, you have to push your body beyond his limit. At the end, reviewing all the picture, you can feel so great and so proud of yourself. It is what I did when I was living in the Vosges (Alsace, Est of France, Strasbourg). Unfortunately, the digital camera is not so advanced as we have today. In Netherlands, where I am living now, everything is flat - no such pictures for me. Congrats for you pictures with envies ;)
