Plasma tv photoshop tutorial

Now why on earth would I want to create a stupid image of a plasma tv in photoshop for I hear you ask?

I was pretty amazed myself when I done a search on Dreamstime for the top selling plasma tv images. with a total of 275 sales (top seller is an unbelievable 132)

these three are the best sellers on Dreamstime and at that many sales it should convince you to add one to your portfolio.

And here's the photoshop tutorial you need to follow in order to do it.

Here's one I made earlier.

Ok thank you very much:)

If you're actually making the image yourself from scratch then yes. But I think it's best to try and change something about it or add extra features so as to make it your own.

Are we allowed to use a tutorial to resell it on dreamstime? Is that legal?

I'm curious to know if anyone else has actually followed the tutorial, made the image, got it accepted and had any sales? Post your image ID if you have so we can all see it.

I have created a few TV's in illustrator from scratch but never really sold that well. Might have a go at the tutorial tho

A little bit of competition is good for the soul! ;-)

Kidding... kidding... kidding... It's great that you share those tutorials and don't be afraid of competition. I have learned a lot from those and am very greatful to you.

Only if they can do it as good (or better) and as large as mine. But the techniques learned in this tutorial could I feel be used to create other virtual gadgets like mp3 players, mobile phones, computer moniters etc etc etc. I added my own stand and buttons to make mine slightly different from the tutorials and I would think other people would try something different to put their own stamp on it?

Now everyone creates its own tv images according to your tutorial and won't buy yours?

September 26, 2007

Tonygers

Why's that then?
I'm not and never have claimed to be exclusive to dreamstime!
The image of mine of the plasma TV is here on dreamstime too along with several variations of it.
So please! Tell me why I shouldn't post this tutorial here 'cause i'd love to hear your reasoning?

September 26, 2007

Maigi

... so, you shouldn't post that tutorial here... ?

September 26, 2007

Tonygers

Not here on dreamstime yet but I have sold it a few times on another site.

The software is definately a worthwhile investment and very easy to use. This tutorial only took a couple of hours to complete.

I'd love to be able to do something like this but I don't have the software. I only have Photoshop Elements 5.0, so I'm pretty limited with a lot of the tutorials I see in these DT blogs. I know at some point I'm probably going to have to venture away from my "safety zone" of photography to art to make some extra money. I still have a lot to learn, though, because the terminology of "vectors" and all that is associated with the illustration side is very confusing to me. It's amazing how good your image looks!

Hopefully i'll get that many accepted one day.

:)) You have a little bit little... not little... few (?), I mean not too many images online. 500 - and you gonna be pretty happy with your sales.

If I don't start getting some sales soon i might have to! ;-)

Tony, it's so great, that you are sharing this information, and not keeping it as your little trade secret. Well done! :)
