People Attend the Overton Square Annual Crawfish Festival

So I was at home in Memphis, Tennessee sitting in a waiting room for an appointment, getting bored I decided to pick up a magazine to kill some time. Thumbing through the pages of "Memphis Magazine", I came across an image that looked oddly familiar, low and behold turned the page sideways and it read photo credit dreamstime/clewisleake!!. The weirdest part of this story is that I have read tons of blogs on Dreamstime on how to find out how contributor sold images are being used and just to stumble upon one of my images in this fashion was just, for lack of a better word, JUST CAPITAL!!

So cool! I recently had the same thing happen. I was in a grocery store and had a strong urge to thumb through a magazine that I had never seen. Low and behold, one of my photos was in there. Such a fun feeling.

@crackers, thanks, this image was sold with an editorial license if I had a model releases it would have been sold as commercial.

Congratulations. I have taken similar shots to yours and wondered how DT accepted your photograph. Did you need a separate model release for each recognizable person in the image? I am always confused about crowd scenes etc.
Again congratulations on finding your published photograph. What a thrill.

Congrats! What a fantastic surprise and great way to brighten you day. My fun surprise was to discover another DT photographer is only 2 hours away. Practically neighbors.

good to know there's other memphians working with dreamstime and that contemporary media is using some of our stock images -- good shot
