Ready for Some New Adventures

I've just moved again, which will make my current residence in the mountains of North Carolina the fourth state I've lived in so far in my life.
I'm so excited to be in this area of the country. I've always wanted to live in the mountains, and I get the chance to now.
The road to greener pastures was a difficult one: I broke up with my longterm boyfriend; got fired; had to move in with my parents for a few months; thought I had a new job but they got downsized before they could hire me; got turned down for a job I thought I definitely had and THEN finally got a job working with some really nice people in a really beautiful area of the country. My optimism has returned and maybe not so surprisingly, my enthusiasm for photography has also gotten a boost.
I can't wait to head into the mountains for some (hopefully) wonderful experiences and photos.
Tomorrow, I'm headed to Chimney Rock for a hike/climb. I hope to have some nice photos for my portfolio and maybe the current contest when I get back.
Looking forward to new adventures!

Moving is good for the brain, gets you out of ruts. As a former Army brat I never assume I'll be anywhere more then five years and always get out and explore my region as if I might not be here long.

I have been to North Carolina a couple of years ago. It's a very nice state.
Wish you much success - for the photos and for your life!

I live in South Carolina and know Chimney Rock very well. Although it's been some time since i've been there. Hope you get lots of nice photos.
Get down here to the Andrew Jackson parks for some photos. Maybe meet up and take photos together. But good luck anyway.
There's a site with listings of want-a-be models that'll work for photos to build up thier portfolios.
I was on a recent shoot and got loads of photos near the river. (before my ankle surgery).
You can't go wrong in either state.
