Being the proud parent of college age children gives you the opportunity for twice annual road trips with the possibility of a third if you go to parent’s weekend. My latest adventure involved a three-day trip from New York to St. Louis Missouri to drop my son off for his freshman year. Besides loading all of the items onthe schools to bring list I packed my Canon Rebel, Bogen Manfrotto tripod, 28-80mm, 75-300mm lenses and a list of possibilities for some good photos.The... continue reading

We love to play ball Children and adults are united in this game The whole world loves to score! When life is busy with young children there is the opportunity to use their toys for a football image. We take the team and change the players' figures on the field, now we are the coach of this team! And we are pleased with sales, there is an occasion for further fantasy. This time when we go to the bar we take our photo for... continue reading
First of all, happy Mardi Gras! Second of all, it’s also the last day of February this year. February is the shortest month, with only 28 days even though other months have 31 days. I guess this is a good thing because it’s usually so cold. While only yesterday I could have said, “Six more weeks of winter?! Yeah, right! It’s officially the warmest February on record,” this weekend, they’re calling for snow. Given, this coming weekend is technically March, but it still begs... continue reading

Hi everyone!I have a holiday, my portfolio reached 1,500 images.I was very grateful to the team Dreamstime for having they give us the opportunity to show and sell their work on this site!As for me Dreamstime? For me, it is as a sport, as mountains, where many peaks that strives to achieve! I rode 600 km to make this photo. For many years I used an 18-200mm Nikon zoom lens on my Nikon DX DSLR. While the results were acceptable I received more refusals from Photo Stock Libraries than I expected due to lack of sharp focus. I just assumed this DX lens was sharp but then I read an article saying it was not.So I purchased a Nikon DX 1.8 35mm fixed lens for just a few hundred dollars and what a difference! All my shots are super sharp and my refusals have reduced to almost zero.It does mean I have had to change my... continue reading
Hello,I write this blog post with great joy, announcing that my portfolio has finally reached 1000 images.Six years ago, when I started submitting images on Dreamstime, I had such a difficult time getting my images approved and having even 40 online was a very big deal to me. However, I must admit that back then the quality of my photographs was really low, with a few exceptions, while the illustrations were quite horrible.I can honestly say that Dreamstime was like a teacher to me, serving... continue reading
