Photography - the first contact

From all the uses that my photography has for me, the first useful contact came to me in the form of scientific support. It seems like only yesterday when the professor of anatomy first showed us the human body. It was like discovering a new universe: so many bones, so many muscles, so many blood vessels, so many nerves, so many organs. continue reading

Top Beaches of The Greek Islands

Top Beaches of The Greek IslandsGreece is a place of stunning natural beauty. But above all, it hosts some of the most beautiful beaches of the world. Check out some of them.Balos Lagoon, Crete   One of Crete’s most beautiful beaches. This is arguably the most photographed natural wonder in all of Greece. Shallow waters of this lagoon place with a stunning vista created by an outcropping of rock that is surrounded by pink sand and blue, turquoise water. A true Caribbean paradise!... continue reading

My story

Had been to Andaman and Nicobar islands recently. Clean air and clean beach are the main highlights of the place. Saw this tree stump on one of the beaches and was wondering how old this could be.  Visiting the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum was an afterthought and I am glad we made it (just a few hours before our flight took off from Port Blair) There were many items on display. But what caught my eye was the display of these Turtle shells with a story attached to it. It goes like this:... continue reading

Peach festivals or Peach Fest

Has anyone ever been to a Peach Festival? In British Columbia it is a famous fruit festival but what is shocking is that there are no peaches at Peach Fest and there are no pictures of peaches! Is it because there is a shortage of pictures or we are tagging the fruit in the wrong places so nobody can find our pictures?Peach Festivals are famous all over the world to celebrate the season of the fruit but there seems to be no marketing materials to show off the fruit properly. Here is my version... continue reading

A peach of an idea

My significant other sent me a cartoon today, of a waiter stopping by a couples' table. Is everything OK madam? he asked.I noticed you have not photographed your food...I had to laugh because I am notorious for taking photos of food before anyone is allowed to eat, be it at our favorite restaurant or in our own kitchen. So when Gary came home with a basket of fresh peaches, my first thought was NOT wow what delicious food can I make with these? No, first thought was hmmm what pictures can I create... continue reading

Storage Options

Hi Everyone,I am in the market for a new storage device.I have a Network Attached Storage Device that I was very happy with until it became about two thirds full, then it became unreliable.I liked the Network Attached Storage solution because it was very convenient to be able to access my photos from anywhere, as long as I had a network collection.I would take my laptop to the family room and while my husband was watching Television, I would add metadata to my images using our wireless network.... continue reading

Beaches, shores, stones, summer

A beach is a landform along the coast of an ocean, sea, lake, or river. It usually consists of loose particles, which are often composed of rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, or cobblestones.
