Hello,As i`m getting closer and closer to my three year anniversary in the stock photo business, I have decided to purchase a camera and start adding some photographs along with my 3D illustrations. As for my 3D rendering, I use an Intel 5820k processor and I have limited the rendering threads to 10,therefore I still have two threads available and not under heavy load so I can still use my computer for different stuffs such as listening to music, web surfing, and sorting and adjusting photographs.... continue reading

Check out this thread! In the above thread there is a discussion on how to remove the text from the concerned image. Now what I was wondering about is, why do people put that thing there anyway? That was quite a nice customer (or a desperate customer) who bought that file. Even if you do have the best greeting card background in the whole website and the customer has no idea how to remove your "Your text here" guide, why would the file be bought? They'd go look for something else.I have read... continue reading
Hi,I just understand that you can add multiple images at a time in an existing collection. You just have to type the different images Ids separated by a coma in the "Add a new image to this collection" input box.Today I updated my Chinese New Year Collection with new pictures of this year continue reading
I love to shoot landscapes - I'm fortunate in that I currently live in a very scenic Australian State where landscape photography is a must.At times, it's difficult to convey a sense of scale with an image - I know the depth and breadth and height because I can see it with my eyes, but I can't necessarily convey that to someone who is viewing my photo. One technique to give your images a sense of scale is to bring people into them, because people give us a familiar point of reference - we know... continue reading

I have noticed in a few previous blogs that people are having trouble adding an image in the comments section. It just shows up as (img r) number (img r) or (img l) number (img l).When you add a photo to a comment you need to remove the "l" or "r" from the "img". The "l" means left and the "r" means right and it's there to help you arrange your photos nicely in your blog. It doesn't work in comments. I hope this helps anyone having a problem with this. ( Maen and Dessie explained this to me not... continue reading
Few things can give a photograph a kick the way textures can. I use them all the time, and thought I would share some of my favorite tips.1. When working with textures remember that you can control the outcome completely. You can decide on the mood, the effect, the strength, the palette. Here is your chance to make your photography highly personal and unique. When experimenting with textures it's almost impossible to get two identical end results which add a lot of flavor to your photos.2.... continue reading
How many times have you heard " That photo doesn't do it justice"Or when you see a photo of a big trophy fish it has a ruler next to it.Sometimes when you take a photo of an object you just can't tell how big it is without something added for scale.A good example is this photo of a Giant Sequoia tree in California.I took this on a recent trip to the west coast. At first I took some of the trees but when I viewed them I really couldn't see the mass and size of these monsters of... continue reading
Anything can be made into a moody picture. Even a bright summer day. It's of course easier if your picture already has some natural moody elements such as stormy skies, windy landscape, or impressive light. There's tons of ways to both enhance and create a moody scene in photoshop and to even just add some drama. It doesn't even have to be a landscape picture, it can be a portrait as well. This article is not gonna take you step by step, but rather give you a few ideas and starting points. In the... continue reading
