Today I photograph places, still as amateur and without much care with the settings of the camera, but I think with a look and peculiar... continue reading

Hi, I decided to create one more blog for those who like soft focus. Few monthsago I bought book Scott Kelby CS2 for photographers and find lot of nice tips. :) One of them is how to create soft skin but to reserve all details on skin. So I did it and for my taste it was beautiful. But also soft focus is very important for giving accent to some of object you want to be recognized first. Baby lens is one of many lenses with De-centering focus and it's perfect for that. Also I'm lover of b&w photography... continue reading
My twin brother encouraged me to use Dreamstime. There was and is always a kind of competition between him and me. Since we are monozygotic twins we are extremely similar - but not equal.During the analogue time he had a Nikon F90. I just did wait until the F100 was available. When the digital era got mature and an analogue camera was no longer real fun he bought the Nikon D200 and I did wait for the Nikon D700.Now I have this D700 (my wallet is still quite empty) and I'm still in the... continue reading

For much of my life I had been a hobby photographer. Until mid of 2007 I was using old style analogue films with my Nikon D90X. But then we decided to visit the relatives of my wife in China. I thought, it is now high time to switch to digital photography. And I bought a Nikon D200. This way I could continue to use my Nikon lenses. It took me more than a week to study the camera's manual and another book about the D200. Slowly I began to recognize that digital photography needs quite a bit more... continue reading
A Graduated Neutral Density (GND) filter is often used in the photography of landscapes. It is also possible to simulate its effect via digital manipulation. One way is something I have called digital GND filters. This was used to create the image on left. Another is the use of multiple images and HDR processing. In this image I had preferred the outcome from use of digital GND filters on a single image to that from HDR processing. The basic idea in digital GND filters is to replicate... continue reading
