600 photos milestone and 400+ sales!!

600 photos I am sure is small potatoes for some but for me it is an accomplishment - it is very difficult to get the time to get photos online, and honestly sometimes I am just too tired.   But I finally got to 600 photos online and feel good about it. I have been trying to do more conceptual work recently to add to my portfolio but will never give up good ole mother nature!I really enjoy the DT community here - what a great bunch of people and artist in one place!!This one below... continue reading

While growing up, I had always been surrounded with some form of art. Now that I'm half of a century old, I find myself looking back at the memory's of my childhood. In this memory I'm around four years of age in the late nineteen - sixties watching my father paint an oil of a Spanish lady dancer.I sat for hours watching him prefect his hobby while my mother prepared our dinner each evening. My mother was our family photographer. She would dress my little sister and I up in our Sunday's best,... continue reading

7 Years in Stock Photography

Its been 7 years and a week to be precise that my journey in stock photography started. It has been with success, failures, saturation and probably a rebirth of me as a photographer in the end. There were moments of celebration where there were ocassional SR-EL or EL sales and also the frowns of subscription sales and low RPD months. What probably was an additional source of income came close to become a secondary source of serious income and stayed that way for quite long. Had I concentrated more... continue reading
