I have been the care giver of the best lawns around, however, these are my opinions.I believe that bagging the lawn is a matter of preference.Bagging offers a more beautiful end result, however the draw backs are that its more labor intensive, takes more time, and if the lawn waste is not recycled then it goes right into the landfill. Some experts believe that bagging is a must as it helps reduce thatch, while others will tell you that mulching the clippings back into the turf adds a natural... continue reading

I was searching for the perfect camera bag.One that would fit ALL my gear, be easy to carry, work as carry on luggage, and not advertise that I was carrying anything worth stealing. And I didn't want to spend a fortune.I didn't have much luck.I found some bags that were reasonably priced and sounded like they would carry my equipment safely. But I don't like messing with those velcro dividers. And most of them were clearly branded. So, I went on a photo shoot, with my old camera... continue reading
I will be traveling to .... Paris, France. Ooo, la la .... As a matter of fact, this will be my first ever visit to Europe. This adventure is so very exciting because I will be able to expand my photographic pallate and fill my collection with images from the land of Love. In hopes of capturing memorable images, my lens cap will always be off and my finger on the trigger. Of coarse, I will be armed with the latest and greatest digital hardware, but as everyone knows, there is never any guarantees... continue reading
When I decided to focus more on photography about a year ago, the last thing on my mind was becoming a camera equipment nerd. You know the ones with their camera bags .. huge amount of lenses, filters and tripods. Only second to golfers in the equipment departure..."Oooooo missed that shot .... Its because I didnt get that Goldplus Challenger 9000 club in Titanium."Well, one year later I have a huge camera bag: body upgrade, 3 tripods, 4 extra lenses and several filters. And my wishlist of... continue reading
When I do talks for other photographers or meet with camera clubs; one of the most common questions is: what equipment do you use and what is in your camera bag.In the old days, it was pretty simple; most of us used the Nikon F5, F4... or the Canon 1V series. Now, with digital, the environment is a bit changed. There are full-frame bodies and their are bodies with sensors that have a pseudo-magnification factor (smaller than the standard 35mm frame). Most landscape photographers will use the... continue reading
Who can forget the real thrill and excitement of going back to school when it reopens every year. The thrill of showing off that new hair clip that I will be wearing on the first day of school. Or the new and colourful school bag that I am carrying today(which is matching my dress). Will they notice my new dress, my new shoes? Who will be the new students in the class? And who will be our class teacher this year? Hope she is not going to be like the grumpy one we had last year. Why is the bus taking... continue reading
Dear members,a lot of dreamstime members have very expensive cameras and the risk, that the e.g. Canon bag with camera will be cutted by someone is also high in some areas. My camera was not very expensive ca. 160 eur / ca. 220 dollars, but I am only using a normal bum bag / fanny pack for my Fujifilm camera. Of course some people will be proud, to wear a bag with a Nikon or Canon logo and feel better with it, but they also give attention to possible thiefs. And it is really hard to loose a camera... continue reading
