I do not often go to places far from the city, but sometimes I still go to the countryside. Until I started to study photography, I did not see anything like that. Now, it's just an inexhaustible source of inspiration and new ideas. I hope this will bring some results. Build a photo with a new trip. continue reading

Winter 2013 in the Picos de Europa, Castilla y Leon (Spain), we had a nice snowfall at the hides of Wild Watching Spain and the passerine species coming to the feeders were the dream of a wildlife photographer. Bullfinches were also present, beautiful males and females on the snow and when the hide keeper added some red berry bushes to the scene the whole thing got dangerously near to what you would like to call "kitsch", this german word which doesn't seem to have a decent translation so far but... continue reading
It is blueberry season in Michigan USA, and this year the cool nights and lots of rain has produced a bumper crop of the sweetest, largest blueberries I have ever seen. Picking at a friends Blueberry farm last week was so much fun with my beautiful granddaughter, but we joked that she should have been weighed before she started picking and then later on after, as I think at least a pound went into her mouth before it ever made it into her basket!Michigan is such a wonderful spot for fresh produce,... continue reading

I had fun shooting these strawberries the other morning. We had picked up a large box of them recently. I wet them down, put them on a plate, and took them outside. I prefer the natural sunlight and the natural green background that is possible outside.Anyway, I was fairly pleased with how they turned out.I'm shooting with a Canon Rebel Xti and a new 50mm f/1.4 lens. I'm pleased with the sharpness that's possible around f2.0 or so.But always glad to get constructive feedback for improvements.... continue reading
