Hi Dreamstimers, here I am again. Although I have never experienced food photography, that's a thing a feel attracted from. All begun when a friend of mine started his business in growing plants and selling his own products as typical here nearby. He is a passionate photographer and told me: that's a good way to attract buyers and clients, to have a decent picture illustrating what you produce and sell. Here I am using some of your pictures, that I find very near to my concept.I started... continue reading

Last February 4th and after making a bunch of sales all of them showing Woolly Monkeys from Peru I wrote a post about that issue. Today one of the pics I showed on the post was sold again, coincidence or a result of posting at Dreamstime? It will probably be impossible to know ever but lately I have started an initiative consisting in writing a longer or shorter post about any of my pics which is accepted or sold. I want to see if there is any consequence on a medium term. If there is any of course... continue reading
Dear Readers,I am newbie in Dreamstime. I joined around two weeks or so ago. Currently four photographs of mine had been accepted and another one is in review.I have been using a Nikon D3000 with the kit lens since December 2011. I am an amateur photographer at the moment. Sadly I have not upgraded my DSLR as well as my lens due to financial constraints. Nevertheless I am still able to click some good photos every now and then. Right now I am thinking of getting a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G along with... continue reading
This is the first time I ever write a Blog and following the classic advice of Mark Twain - "Write what you know" - I've decided that for my first Blog I will write about the Island that is my home, Puerto Rico. I’m always fascinated by how little some people know about this island; to the point that many don’t even know that it is U.S. territory but still, no one can deny its natural beauty and variety. The locals are friendly and through the island are attractions for every kind... continue reading
Recently Dreamstime released their long awaited Wordpress plugin and I eagerly installed this to a couple of my main blogs to try it out. Like a few others here, I'm skeptical of the benefit of using social media to promote your stock photography. While there may be some benefit, one has to also consider the opportunity cost. How much time spent on social media could be spent on producing more images? In any case, there is one aspect of social media that I think is invaluable to the stock photographer - and that is blogging! But not necessarily for any exposure it might get you, but rather just the act of trying to illustrate... continue reading
