well I have read about how sales are going up and down and how you should grow your portfolio to make it more stable and that it is seasonal for some people. We all probably know that and should acknowledge it, but I had a best month ever in April and this month is going to be the worst in last half year, I have not sold a photo for 6 days in a row now.Although i know theory the lack of sales still keeps me up at night thinking what could i do to change it and have another BME again.And... continue reading

Santa visited me at the beginning of December itself, and stayed with me throughout. It's Jan, and Santa has gone...December had been my BME. While I got the same number of sales in October, the revenue was something quite ushering and remarkable now.. With an RPD of $2.44, and a revenue increase of 66% over my previous BME, I think I was on cloud 9.It's Jan, and it has become pretty much normal now..Some of the best sales I got in Dec: continue reading
I have been on DT for about 1 year and 9 months. In that time I have worked very hard to build up my portfolio with photographs and illustrations in the hope of one day being able to make a small income from my efforts. As many of us have experienced there are always ups and downs.Sometimes you wonder why you even bother.Other times you just marvel at the amount of sales racking up day after day.Well this month is turning out to be on of those ups.Ten days into the month and already... continue reading
It is mid of September, and this post might have come out slightly late.. Better late than never.August month was OK. DT could barely swift through the challenge and drag onward to make August the BME..Though it is still the BME, the earlier growth month-on-month has started to fade off. September would be an eye-opener in that parlance. While there a 27% growth in Sales (11 in July to 14 in August), the RPD remained the same at $1.51 continue reading
"There was an increase in Sales" would be a huge under-statement. Frankly, I had not experienced Sales in DT.Joined in March, got my first sale in May, but that was just 1 for the month (name sake I believe).June was generous enough to give me 2 Sales (so much for feeling low about the pace). And just when I thought maybe I should quit considering the time Vs. returns, came July.Technically, I had a 550% increase in sale with an average revenue per download as $1.51. I got 11 downloads... continue reading
After having dismal sales last month, this month is starting out great.I am already 2/3 of the way to a new BME and the month is not yet half way over.I guess all of the designers went on vacation in June and are now getting back to work.I hope everyone else is having a good month. continue reading
BME! And I didn't even realize it until DT tweeted for me!The month started out really slow for me. After the first two weeks I thought it was going to be my worst month rather than my best but then late last week sales began to pick up. Quite a relief! Here are some of the images that made this the best month ever on DT for me:These three level threes all sold multiple times this month:(appropriate for grads trying to figure out what to do with their lives)(this abstract is getting... continue reading
Last month was my BME in terms of sales and revenue so I ended the month on a high. Two weeks later I am once again holding my head in my hands as my sales have disappeared.Oh the ups and downs of the business.Hopefully the second half of the month will make up for the slump. continue reading
Thanks to this illustration May has been a new BME for sales, revenue, and RPD.It has been about a year and a half since I started with DT and each month I have learned so much but there is still so much to learn and do.My sales have been growing as my portfolio slowly grows.Right now I am aiming for 200 images online by the end of the summer.I am also a download or two away from my second payout. The first payout took a year, the second payout about 5 months.Hopefully the third will come... continue reading
