Making the most of a wet night ...

I was returning to my hotel on the last night of a recent trip to Brasilia, Brazil's capital. The Amazon is in serious danger

The Amazon is in serious danger because one of the two chambers of the Brazilian parliament has decided to bin the laws currently protecting the forest. Congress has voted to remove the legal bulwarks protecting the Amazon rain forest from stripping by livestock farmers and large property owners. Pirenopolis in Brazil for the weekend

I typically work weekends from the hotel when away on work trips - it gets me home faster and it means I don't drag colleagues into the office over their weekend too.
