Saint Nicholas Church is a Romanian Orthodox church in Brasov, dominating the historic district of Schei. The church was established in 1292 (an wooden church) and is the oldest orthodox church of Brasov city.It was built in a mix of the Byzantine, Baroque and Gothic styles. On 20-22 July 2008 was the first edition of Brasov’s Medieval Feasts. Over 500 years old, the Black Church is the most representative historic monument in Brasov, the greatest Gothic church in Transylvania and the greatest religious edifice from Vienna to Istanbul.The construction began around 1380 (between 1383 and 1385) and initially it was named Saint Mary’s Church. Two years ago i visited a countryside villa near Brasov city. I was impressed about the horses from the ranch.The ranch disposes of highbreed steeds: 4 Friesen (Dutch origin) and 2 Rassa Espaniola (PRE). The horsemanship can take place in a ridding school, especially arranged for the beginers or in the free field for the advanced learners.
