The last couple of years i got hooked on shooting during (early) nighttime hours. The long exposures make you really work your images, composition and exposure has to be exactly right.Right after sunset you have the nice blue and orange colors in the sky. I had a sleepless night a few weeks back in Brisbane and as the family was away I was able to check out a few spots I'd been wanting to visit in the city center for night shots with river reflections.
