I am asked these questions so often : So what are stock photos? What should I be shooting? What is most popular? What are designers looking for? What photos sell the best?Does it sound familiar, or maybe you too are asking the same questions.I did for a little while, but then I decided that rather than try and figure out what nobody seems to really know those answers to, I put the searching aside, grabbed my camera and just started living.Life sells folks. My portfolio... continue reading
I've been with Dreamstime since 2006 as a VERY inactive member.Uploaded a batch of files and haven't really added to it since... until recently.I am now going to be a very active member of Dreamstime and my goal is to be a top contributor! There are two things that brought me to this point;1. Continuous image sales without being a salesman.I normally do location portrait and conceptual photography with clients, which is fine, but dealing with people... continue reading

The past two weeks have been so busy! Sheesh! Between running from photo shoot to photo shoot, taking care of my girls and all the insanity that follows, I feel like I'm running in circles! And just when I thought things couldn't get any more crazy we have adopted a Mallard duckling. Yes, I know. I must be insane or a glutton for punishment. Maybe both! Butters (my 5 year old named him/her) has been with us for 2 weeks after getting separated from his mom and siblings. It's been hard to not get attached... continue reading
Well to be honest it's 12 months and a few days but it has been a busy first year here on DT.I thought this small overview may give a little insight to the newer members and for those that like stat's.Well like quite a few here I joined in 2009 thinking I was great at my photography only to get a load rejected and I packed it all in until April/May 2010 when I thought about trying again. So before I started uploading again I read through the reasons all of my first submissions were rejected... continue reading

Sleep with / without watching a movie and wakeup again the next day to progress with whatever we were doing yesterday. The only thing I agreed with was to sleep and wake up the next day... continue reading
