In the Rocky Mountains of Canada, Jasper is the second largest town in the Canadian Rocky Mountains after Banff. Jasper is equally picturesque and has no less interesting places to rest in nature and is a less crowded place.Places that are interesting in terms of photography are many in both the town center and its surroundings. Near Jasper is the largest lake in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of Meligne Lake. Nearby is a deep Maligne Canyon. The Athabasca River flows through the Jasper area with... continue reading

A recent trip to the So. Rim, Grand Canyon during a snow storm created some challenging photographic conditions so I thought I would share as it might be helpful to less experienced shooters as I once was. It was cold, snowing and wind driven conditions, making itless than ideal to create some good stock photography.Nevertheless I was there so I was going to make the most of a 2-day stay.Knowing that the train pulls in at about 11:30AM andwhere I wanted to capture the shot I calculated... continue reading

After I to the shoot of the rugged ridge. I got back in my pick-up and went back towards my home. I knew I was not finished. I had spotted a road that forked of Reynold's Creek road that I want to follow. I ended up at the mouth of this red rock canyon. It was to early in the morning to get a good shot of the canyon with the wagon track at the bottom. Canyon shots require noon to early afternoon photography, because of the steepness of the walls and the angle of the sun work together that time of... continue reading
Sitting on the border between Idaho and Oregon is Hells Canyon of the Snake River which is the deepest gorge in North America. Not to be compared with the width of Arizona's Grand Canyon, it still holds the distinction of being the deepest. And so my summer vacation is over. This year I had the pleasure to visit France and the region of Provence which turned out to be as picturesque as people say. Apart from all those beautiful small towns, the place you should all see going to Provence is the Canyon de Verdon called Gorge de Verdon. High mountains and a turquoise river flowing between its steep slopes make a breathtaking view. Unfortunately I only had the occasion to admire it from the road but maybe next time I will take a kayak and... continue reading
We jump on a plane from China and head straight to the United States of America, more precise, in Arizona, in the heart of the Navajo land where we will visit the world famous Antelope Canyon.Gaze for too long at these rock formations, and you begin to drift off and forget whether you’re looking at a geological phenomenon or a vast, abstract oil painting.A long time ago, herds of pronghorn antelope roamed freely in Antelope Canyon, which explains the canyon's English name. It is not known exactly... continue reading
