The Contributor's Guide to Understanding the SEO of Stock Images

(This featured image was the first result for "SEO" on Dreamstime.)This is not a leaked document, nor a methodical dissection of any general or specific stock library algorithm out there, full of equations and statistics or anything mathematical. Instead this is one designer's common sense guide for contributors to help optimize their portfolios. Please know that I do not currently have my own contributor portfolio, so I am sure there are intricacies and rules of the road out there that... continue reading

Photography and Peace

The world that we live in was designed to be a peaceful place by our creator through submitting our will to His commands. However when we look around at our surroundings we see that a majority of humans are chained in agonies, misery, distress, anguish, wars, conflict, fighting, hate, injustice, revenge, hostility and several other social animosities.Peace on a personal and a global scale is the need of every individual and creation that exists around us and the same is sought for human... continue reading

There is nothing worse than being robbed while on holidays and needing to organise... continue reading

First Vacation as a Stocker: Egypt

I think you Europeans call it "Holiday." :-)I've always taken lots of photos while on vacation/holiday but this is the first time I will be going with an eye for stock. It remains to be seen how successful that is. The fundamental goal is to get my camera equipment to Egypt and safely back... continue reading

Desire

More and more I realize that I don't want to create imagery that leaves a residue of oxidized desire. So many things in our culture seem ultimately to be about: "choose me buy me". Will I merely be the tool of the salesman? Will my love be chained to the marketplace? What I dream of is an art that undoes desire and liberates the immaculate presence of the subject. But I wonder; is desire the energy that endurance requires to go deeper into that subject. Is it the necessary energy component that motivates... continue reading
