June 10th I went climbimg Pico volcano in the Azores, here goes the story of that day.It all started at 2AM, we started climbing at that hour so that we could see the sunrise. At 1600m high my knee (had surgery) started to give away but the will to take photos at the top kept pushing me up.After 4 hours climbing we reached the top and all the hard work started to pay off. the view is just gorgeous. Some time ago i posted a blog here saying that i am going to climb mount kinabalu... now i have returned back to singapore with the certification that i have reached the summit - low's peak!Mt Kinabalu is 4095.3m high and is known as the highest mountain in south east asia, however, maybe this is a mis-perception... as far as i know, there are four mountains higher than mt kinabalu, although there are still some arguments here.We are pretty lucky. Mt Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia! Have not been to a place at such a high altitude (4101m)... Will be there during Xmas. It will be a two days climbing, hopefully we can reach the summit on Dec. 26, around 5:30AM. God bless we can see the sunrise!
