Timelapse Photography is really a great way to perceive and catch some objects or landscapes and look to them in a specific time line. I've recently started creating this videos and have just a little experience, so you all are very welcome to add yours proficiency and opinions in order to share this amazing way of creating. It's very well if you have DSLR camera and you are not afraid to expose all shutter limit, but you can also devote your compact camera to this matter as well. The colourful sky is one of the most fascinating scenes to take a picture of. Quite often people start to shoot too early, resulting in a very dominating orange ball called the sun. I prefer to start when the sun is almost disappearing behind the horizon. Then the sky and the sun are in balance and the clouds in the sky get an orange backlight. The above picture was taken at roughly 22:00 hours at the end of May along the coast of Noordwijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. Right at the time... continue reading
I have always loved to capture sky, clouds, sun, moon, and stars... When I uploaded my sky images, I had some doubts whether they can be sold, especially because there are thousands of great sky images on DT already. But when I saw last week, there were back to back 5 sales of my sky-clouds images! This really reflected what other DT contributors have always said - "good work definitely pays at sometime".Here are my recently sold sky images:This one is the best of all:... continue reading
I have always liked photos, machines and the magic of printing, a little to live with since the time I was a child with the graphics printing machines where my father worked and also for having lived together as a child with films and analogue cameras and the revelations of photos almost once A year because my mother only took pictures on special days, such as birthdays. Today I photograph places, still as amateur and without much care with the settings of the camera, but I think with a look and peculiar... continue reading
I have always had a great attraction and love for sky. Interestingly, my first sale on DT also is an image of sunrays (crepuscular rays) coming through clouds... When talking about sky, sunrises and sunsets are always special. At these times, the sky is filled with different colors, and wonderful patterns are created in sky, depending upon arrangement of clouds. This one is captured a few minutes before sunrise, at Promenade Beach, Puducherry, India... "Halo" is an interesting... continue reading
A new year always begins with new aspirations, new hopes, and new dreams... I am also feeling the same! :-)Towards the end of 2016, I am so happy to cross milestone of 300 uploads, and I am sharing a few of my abstract backgrounds with novel concept: Now, all above backgrounds are created by processing actual photographs of sky, captured while air travel. Below are the actual photographs, which themselves also can be used as background. Feeling like flying over bed... continue reading
I'm not very good at sunset/sunrise photography. Like most of the DT members here I'm still learning. I was in my village for the weekend and saw the formation and colors of clouds. I never saw such a beautiful and magical sunset live before. I quickly grabbed my camera and took some shots. First few shots did not look good then I used Nikon sunset preset and finally got couple of shots to upload and luckily DT approved them. continue reading
The adventure continues! Today my 50th photo was uploaded and it happens to be a photo of my favorite subject: Clouds. The photo below was taken when a storm was approaching our area. The clouds which formed were a more uncommon type called "undulatus asperatus." When I first joined Dreamstime, I had no idea if any of my photos would be accepted but I kept submitting ones I thought might be worthy. Several were not, but that is okay. Very helpful reasons and suggestions are given for refusals... continue reading
