Are you cold blooded enough to cull your images?

My Ruthless guide to deleting photos.I hope after reading this post I can save you hours, Nay! weeks of time and general heartache by learning from the mistakes I made when I came to edit my first beautiful eye watering shots (well they were to me) I took on my first DSLR.Before the digital age of photography you had a roll of film which had to be developed in a dark room before you could see the final result of your masterpieces. This meant photographers had to think a little more about... continue reading

How to find an interesting subject - just go out in your front yard

Stairs in our little heavenOne island. One inlet. One beach. One path. One house. Combined create our heaven. The space and time of our childhood and most beautiful memories we share. My family and I. On our island. On our beach. In our house. It is a small house, summer house. All made by our father’s hands. All made by our mum’s faith. All made by my sister’s and mine love. Whole is circled with stairs. Stairs made of rock that my parents gathered around the house. Rock and sand. Each gently... continue reading

It was a frog.  continue reading

This took place back in the 1930’s before they had refrigerators. To keep food cool they had ice boxes. In the wintertime men... continue reading

I always dread this time of year and often wish I could hibernate as bears do!That being said, my love of photography has forced me out this winter. I haven't ever photographed much in cold weather due to this wanting to just stay inside and enjoy the warmth. This year my portfolio here at DT has forced me... continue reading
