Giving & Receiving Comments

Isn't it a great feeling when someone takes the time to write a helpful, supportive or event positive yet critical comment on an image you've taken? Not only does it generate a nice warm feeling that someone has taken the time to comment but also provides useful feedback to the photographer.Although I haven't received too many comments on images I know how great it can be when I do get it and will undertake to post a comment on 3 or more images every week in an effort to spread a little cheer... continue reading

Buyers! Need to contact contributors? Comment via Tools tab! :)

Hi Dreamers! In a recent discussion in this thread about cropped vs non-cropped pictures of people and such, it appeared that some buyers do not realize that they can "legally" contact contributors, i.e. the authors of those images they want non-cropped versions of. I thought it is an important piece of info deserving a blog article. There are two ways of contacting a contributor.1. You can contact us via admins, i.e. via the DT contact form. Send them the details of your request about... continue reading

How to Include Images in Blog Comments

A simple & straight-to-the-point blog.1- click any of the "insert image" icons. I'll use the left one to illustrate [ imgl ][ imgl ]2- Insert the image ID in the pop-up box.3- Delete the "l" from both [ imgl ] or the "r" from both [ imgr ] in case you clicked "insert image - align right"Hope you don't find this as useful as a glass hammer :P continue reading

100 Images online

Recently I have just achieved 100 images online.Just want to share with you that it was never easy to get images accepted, I started with lots of rejections and disappointments. However, thanks to DT that it is through continuous rejections and positive explanations that I have learned and keep improving my skills.Today for me, as I assess all my images, I feel that there is still more room for improvement. Photography is a lifelong learning process ! We never know if we have learned enough.... continue reading

Helpful tip for adding photos to a comment

I have noticed in a few previous blogs that people are having trouble adding an image in the comments section. It just shows up as (img r) number (img r) or (img l) number (img l).When you add a photo to a comment you need to remove the "l" or "r" from the "img". The "l" means left and the "r" means right and it's there to help you arrange your photos nicely in your blog. It doesn't work in comments. I hope this helps anyone having a problem with this. ( Maen and Dessie explained this to me not... continue reading

Nice words

In these days, I had to spend a lot of times in bed as I was ill - fever, headache, cold, sorethroat... nothing terrible, but the body asked a big rest. So I was taking aspirin, drinking a lot of tea, sleeping.During this period, oddly, I hadn´t a good mood. In past, I didn´t stress when I had to lie and to rest. I have taken it with philosophy "girl, body needs a rest".This time was another, I was really pretty moody. But my husband´s nice words has turned my mood to my usual good mood.... continue reading
