The age of digital photography has given me a problem that would not have occurred back in the film and darkroom era – namely, repetitive motion injury from processing images on the computer in Photoshop.Hence, my upload of work over the next while will be very small as I am to avoid computer use.My computer set-up is ergonomically correct, yet it still happened.Voice activated Photoshop hasn’t arrived yet, so I am not sure how to proceed if I still wish to process my images.I am sure... continue reading

Lately I realized that I wasn't using my Canon 5D II as much as I should. I also realized that about 70 percent of my uploads were done with my compact camera Canon G1X. Well the reason was quite obvious - I had my Canon G1X most of the time with me when I went travelling, day trips or business trips. This made me think: Shall I sell my 5D?Well, to make it short - I didn't. I sold the G1X - it nearly broke my heart but I had to be tough on myself to get rid of the temptation - and bought myself... continue reading
I love it when I reach a goal...It at least makes me feel like I have accomplished something. One goal I set for myself was to have 400 images uploaded and accepted to Dreamstime, and to have at least 100 sales. well I did make it to the 400 mark this week, although I seem to be stuck on 70 in the sales department. however I am confident that number will change. As 2012 comes to a close, it makes me more aware that 2013 will be a good year to once again sit down and set goals. one, it gives me... continue reading
Just got the new Canon M shipped in from Hong Kong (no shipping, tax or duty charges!) and it has no viewfinder. For a lot of people, that is a big omission and it weighed heavily on my mind before I decided to purchase it.I've had compacts before and they are ok but the screens are a little lacking in resolution and the same goes for the photographic output. The M promised to have the small, unobtrusive size of a compact and the power and quality of a DSLR...and, whew, it delivers.I was fairly... continue reading

I've never won a photo contest--until just this week. Just days after Obama won a second term.It was an open contest put on by a local business group: you post a set of twelve pictures on Facebook and the ones with the most votes during a set period gets into a calendar (plus 15% of the sales of that calendar). It seems like an all right deal, except there was not a panel of judges and anyone could vote on the photographs so whoever could get the most people to vote for their photos could... continue reading
Hi all, I have not yet reached 1000 share photos online but I hope to do so shortly, and I just ventured to load some RAW format image hoping that might be of interest to someone. Right now they are just these:because the charging is a bit longer so the time for acceptance. continue reading
