Sometimes each of us needs a place to escape... Just to stay in peace and tranquility, with as less people and noise around as possible. Some choose challenging tracking in the mountains Others - kayak in a powerful river current... There are those, for whom there is nothing like a small house lost somewhere in the forest... Let me draw your attention to another kind of paradise of peace and tranquility - the world famous corner on the Earth, called the Dead Sea. Here you can... continue reading

With a midnight deadline (tonight!) I am rustling together the 50 words for a Fringe brochure listing, that will best describe my show (a drama set in Famagusta, Cyprus examining divisions when two ex pat brits cannot cross to the South after being part of an anti fracking protest). In brackets there I have already used 26 words and not even told you where you can see it!Once I had found the right artist, it took two days to create the image to describe the showbut finding the right words to... continue reading
Among the towering red dunes of Namib-Naukluft National Park in the central Namib Desert is an area known as Sossusvlei. It is a strange and alien landscape where, over the thousands of years, the sand has literally rusted. Nearby here there is an even more ancient "place of no return":DeadVlei; its name means "dead marsh" (from English dead, and Afrikaans vlei, a lake or marsh in a valley between the dunes). It is a white clay pan also referred to as "Dooie Vlei" which is the original fully Afrikaans... continue reading
Previous year I had a happy chance to visit Jordan. You know Its something amazing! For the first, desert… It’s expanses cast a spell over. You never can imagine which it will appear in front of you with every turn of you head.It is different – sandy or mountain, with tulips in blossom and the main – with the taste of freedom. Dead Sea envelops not only the body, but all your minds. It not only useful… it’s beautiful! Here is the Jordan with its nature, traditions, history. It allured... continue reading
A few days ago I did a search for some new approved images of mine to see if they were in the system yet. They all came up but one.I contacted the good folks at Dreamstime to inquire and was told it had been content filtered (I have my filter on).The image was a 70 year old photograph of a man and woman (my grandfather and my mom) on their farm holding shotguns and some pheasants they had just hunted. They said all images showing dead animals were content filtered.Maybe this could be disturbing... continue reading
You know, we have lots of weird architecture in our city. I think I should start collecting them already. That's the first one. Stairs leading to nowhere.I wonder why would some arcitect plan such a thing? There are no sings of a passage ever was in this wall. No window either. Just a solid white wall and the stairs to it.Dead end in a dead end. It's a mystery to me why the stairs were built :) Any ideas? ;) continue reading
Hehe funny I know. But I was recently shocked to see my picture in a blog which taught how to put artificial fangs on a normal person and make it look perfect. I was like.. .huh?!?!?! That’s not fair, I am naturally a vampire who likes to prey on beautiful women.Since my childhood I have hand these canines popping out and everyone advising me to put braces. My parents threatened me a lot of times and I have had beatings over it, but somewhat since childhood I had a belief that these fangs will... continue reading
Was out in the fields the other day looking for some interesting photographs. Found this one which I think turned out pretty good. I had to crop it some - as I couldn't focus quite as close as I'd like. Here's a green garden spider in a deadly embrace with a beautiful butterfly. Will it sell as a stock photo? I'm not sure. Perhaps there's a concept out there (danger, risk, predation, etc.) that it illustrates effectively. Either way, I thought it was interesting and perhaps the editors here... continue reading
