LOST PHOTOS? RECOVERED PHOTOS!

Some time ago I deleted many pictures from my camera, by accident... I did not have a chance to copy them to any storage device earlier, and a part of them was very precious to me. So I decided to find a way to recover them! My files had never dissapeared that way before, but I knew for sure that I should not use the flash card for taking new photos if I want deleted photos to be recovered, otherwise there’s a poor chance to recover the files.I searched through Internet looking for the cure,... continue reading

Delete or donate?

Today I want to ask you a very interesting question: what do you do with images that were not sold for quite some time?I think many of you received a notification from DT about images that had not been sold for 4 years. This is the moment when you must make a choice: either donate this image to the free section, or disable it.The dilemma is that either of the decisions is right. On one hand, if you just donate the image, your personal database remains the same, and when people find your image... continue reading

Messing with EXIF/IPTC metadata

I've been long searching for ways of erasing/editing file metatags (EXIF, IPTC, etc) without restrictions. Many programs/software have ways of doing it, but most don't allow to do it freely.I mean, they might have comercial restrictions, but when for instance adobe tools say that a tag that says the file has been edited/created in Photoshop is a not "deletable" one... they are lying.Every metatag is editable/deletable and the image itself can be rendered without any metatag info of this type.... continue reading

Synchronising files between Laptop and Dekstop.. free utility (works!)

I have started using the free Microsoft SyncToy version 2.1 for synchronising files from my laptop back to my home desktop/server and it is working very well so felt was time to blog about it.After I travel, for work, I typically have a bunch of new images on my laptop, and may have renamed, edited or deleted some images from past trips that I had not yet processed. The SyncToy manages propagating those additions, deletions, renames and edits back to the server. Equally if I have added/deleted/... continue reading

Recover deleted images ......

It was an extremely rainy day in Chicago May 31, 2010...... then there was light !!!! Lighting, to be exact, there was so much lighting here in downtown during the day that I just had to capture it on my Canon DSLR. I had my tripod in place, I aimed the camera toward the tallest building in USA, which happens to be the old Sears Tower in Chicago in hopes of that perfect shot. And for 45 minutes straight, I shot 1437 exposures of 2 seconds for each shot of the same building, with the continuous cable... continue reading

You know this picture was accepted as the current assigment file with level 5, not only that, it was the highest revenue I get so far i.e $5.00 for one download. So just keep your pictures as many as you can even if you don't like them since you never know..Here is the picture: continue reading

One Mighty Button - Delete

Well, I just got my new website up! How I like it... nowadays it's so easy and fun to modify your site cause there are so many good CMSs (Content Management Systems) around. If you want, you can modify the code, if you don't or don't know how to do it - no problems, you can put your site together as from puzzle pieces.Anyway, I have worked with my new site for some weekends. Got a brand new name: maigi.com :))). So happy... Anyway, I was just giving finishing touch to my site, and struggled with... continue reading
