It is so easy in this hectic world to forget to stop occasionally and look outside ourselves for ways to give our fellow man a hand up every now and then.Since 1992, the fourth Saturday of October has been set aside as a National Day of Service meant to encourage average Americans to commit this one-day out of their lives to helping others.Make a Difference Day will be observed on October 28th this year. And while service can be done by anyone at anytime, having... continue reading

What I think about the difference of Sigma Sigma 50mm and 105mm macro lenses is that with Sigma EX 105 / 2,8 DG OS HSM Macro avoids the insects fly away when you do not have to go so close to the object. After that you get a little more Dof dots out of focus when shooting with a higher focal value. continue reading
Today DT approved my 150th photo!I'm very happy because of that, but even more happy cause I really see the progress in my photos, so my learning and long evening hours with camera alone and in front of computer had paid off. And I want everyone to see the difference! Time between shooting these two photos is JUST ONE MONTH!The first was shot on 4th of April and the second one on 6th of May, this year both. Model is the same, but everything else is different, not just the concept, but the... continue reading
some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed. yesterday was such a day! I should have known when I woke to go to my job at 6 30 and discovered major snow in Michigan falling at a brisk pace. 5 inches covered the ground already, but I made it to work and was there 2 hours watching the white stuff fall... only to have the electricity go out in the area.so since my bosses could not get any work done, I was sent home from job one.3 hours later, I am off to job two, however now we have 14 inches of snow!... continue reading

It has been a year since I started with DT.In that time I have achieved modest gains, 133 images online and $120 in revenue. The real pay off, however, is in the lessons that I have learned over the year.I learned so much about taking a decent stock photo, about editing, and about how to make vector images.Just yesterday I had a break though in how to create isolation images by removing the background from an image. Thanks DT. continue reading

Now I have reached my personal first goal in DT.More than 50 photos were accepted. Of the more than 120 photos reject, we want not to talk to them now. But the rate of accepted photos increases. This is most definitely the right way. What surprised me most, however, is that differ significantly from Favorite my buyers and still my favorite. I like most the picture of the skyline of Regensburg, which was composed of six individual photos.Or the pictures of the Augsburg Town Hall with... continue reading
Apart from obvious lack of experience and technical ability, there may be another reason why beginners usually have lower RPI (return per image): camera file size.(return per image for who doesn't know yet, is total sales amount divided by the number of images you have on sale. Example: 1000 dollars of total sales, divided by 500 photos on portfolio would make for an RPI of 2)Let's say I'm a designer and I have a choice between two images similarly good, I would tend to buy the bigger one... continue reading
