Once, in the distant 2011, I accidentally read on the Internet that there is a salary without absolutely no investment. Earnings are associated with a photo that has long been my hobby. I photographed mostly my family, also nature, animals, I really www.dreamstime.com liked the macro, well, in general, everything interesting around. I began to look for information on the Internet on the topic of earning on the sale of photographs. I realized that the photos that I have can even be sold... continue reading

This is really a journey of discovery.I wouldn't call myself a top shelf photographer, but my photos just go to waste, being stored in various places and many have died senselessly with the death of a hard drive. Most stock photography sites want photos of people or buildings.I prefer nature.I hate worrying about staging people with silly props, getting paperwork signed, and worrying about all the various details when I can just go outside and find something interesting to share with others.... continue reading
I've been an avid hiker since I can remember.Recording my discoveries on film (or with digital imaging) has always been one of my passions.I have found myself staying with the safe paths lately though. As I get older, climbing rocks and steep hills becomes more difficult. Not too long ago I took a detour during one of my hikes and found a hidden area out of sight of the worn pathway I frequently walk. The terrain became steeper and large rocks blocked the way.Driven by what was to be found... continue reading
Macrophotography presents its own set of challenges quite distinct from your usual photography.First of all, you have to spring for the lens, and that's nothing to sneeze at.Then, you have to get dirty --- I mean, you have to kneel, sit, even lie on the ground to take the shots you want. You have to assume awkward, sinew stretching positions so you can take a picture of that itsy bitsy ladybug underneath that teeny weeny leaf.Plus you have to suffer ants feasting on your feet and endure static... continue reading

When I got my first 2MP point & shoot digital camera from an IT friend of mine several years back, I had no idea where it would lead. Other than a trip to Idaho in 1995, I probably hadn't shot 2 rolls of film in the 10 years before I got that first digital camera. As a poor college student, I didn't have the time or money to devote to learning the ways of film. That all changed with that first little Olympus camera. It was small enough that I could carry it any where. I found that I liked being... continue reading
While driving in my car heading to the zoo I heard some great news about Western Lowland Gorillas on NPR.They announced that the Wildlife Conservation Society gorilla experts discovered in the Republic of Congo an estimated 125,000 Western Lowland Gorillas living in the countries Northern Forests. The reason for the high numbers is because there is no war, logging and disease epidemics that is linked to man.Hardly anyone goes into this forest do to it being hard to move around through the swamp... continue reading
Years ago I had the great opportunity to study local bat populations. At first thought, you might think "Oh, those horrible, evil, devilish creatures that creep out of the shadows of the night to suck our blood.... I shudder to even think of seeing one."Pre-conceived notions and generations of folklore, myths, books and movies have left a lot of people feeling afraid - preferring to even avoid the thought of them.Putting my own pre-conceived notions aside, I jumped into their world and even... continue reading
