Petphotography

As a foster mom for streetkittens, I just couldn't resist those cute little faces and ran behind those little basterds with my camera ALL THE TIME. That's where it all started...I have always been into photography since I was little, but it was never more than some buildings and family portraits. Untill I started taking care of streetcats. As a foster mom, you know those lovely animals will leave some day to go to there forever home. I had to have something to hold on to, to keep the memory of... continue reading

Starting Out by Dipping My Toe in the Water... Literally

I'm just starting out. I've made exactly $4.47 from selling stock photography so far. Alas, none of that is on Dreamstime. Apparently the search algorithms on other sites are more favorable to me than this one. I'm not quitting my day job.I started out by simply uploading my best photos. I didn't take those photos for stock photography. I took them as a hobby. My hobby is hiking in the mountains, mostly in California, and finding and identifying wildflowers. I don't think it will shock anyone... continue reading

My new Labrador pictures

Hello dog lovers on Dreamstime...Here a series of pictures taken while I am with my own dogs relaxing and training. The first picture was taken in a pet-therapy session: I love to let my dogs being useful for people in need, so often we go to visit old people in hospices and I personally train them to be careful while doing this work. They often came back home tired but happy, and we live a super experience being useful for someone in need of a moment of relax... And after that, we'... continue reading

Stepping Out Of My Comfort Zone

Up until recently I had mainly taken photographs where I had most of the control over the elements - in that most of my subjects didn't move or there was one person or one animal and rarely a mix.I am currently completing a photography course and the topic choices for my current assignment were people, places or objects. As I had previously worked on places and objects (little movement in these topics) it was time to step out of my comfort zone and take the challenge - working with a person/people... continue reading

The Look

When Monty, the Dane and Nikko....the ..umm...well, when they first got together Monty really did not know what to think of her...He almost looked at her like a little rat..She had no fear of him as she would constantly try to bite on his lips..his tail..his nose..he always tried to stay a safe distance from her ( even tho now they are the best of friends) ..but he always had at least one eye on her...which sometimes made for comical pictures.. continue reading

The meeting

When Monty was 5 months old, we decided to get him a little friend...We went to SICSA with every intention to walk out with a lab or labordoodle....to be honest, I wanted to walk out with every dog in there but I had to be realistic...we looked and we looked..then finally we looked down..there she was..our little Nikko ( named after the head flying Monkey in the Wizard of Oz) she was nothing that we had "intented" to get..but everything we ever wanted...The introduction to Monty, our Great Dane,... continue reading

This cross breed was 1st bred in 1989 in Australia by breeder Wally Conron.
